Alibaba wants to bring Cambodian products to sell on Chinese website

It is very good that Alibaba has expressed its intention to bring Cambodian products to market in China and other countries in Asia, Europe and Africa through Alibaba Group's Lazada App. This is according to the publication from the Ministry of Information.

On the morning of January 28, 2022, HE Deputy Prime Minister Yim Chhay Ly, Chairman of the Council for Agricultural and Rural Development and Chairman of the National Committee for the Promotion of One Village, One Product, held a meeting with Alibaba Group via video on Cooperation between Alibaba Group and the Royal Government of Cambodia.

HE Yim Chhay Ly welcomed the initiative of cooperation between Alibaba and the National Committee for the Promotion of One Village, One Product, which has 17 member ministries and relevant institutions, including the Minister of Commerce as the First Vice-Chairman of the Committee. The nation promotes the One Village, One Product movement, which has the task of helping to find markets for Cambodian products.

Song Juntao, Secretary-General of eWTP China Alibaba, informed the Deputy Prime Minister of the World E-Commerce Forum (eWTP), a multilateral public-private cooperation forum for Promote online business.

He said that eWTP was established and launched in 2016 as a subsidiary of Alibaba Group and received support from the leaders of the G20 countries in 2016. In addition, eWTP is recognized by the head of state and government. Of the countries that have cooperation with Alibaba. eWTP will work with local and international partners to build four digital infrastructure networks, including global operations, transportation, finance, payments and public service platform networks. In addition to e-commerce, Alibaba has introduced Lazada, Southeast Asia's leading e-commerce platform, serving 650 million customers in six countries, including Vietnam (Lazada.vn).
